For the third month in a row, Skyrizi was the No. 1 pharmaceutical brand by estimated national TV ad spend, per iSpot.tv data recently shared with FiercePharma. The AbbVie immunology drug had an estimated outlay of $26.5 million in August, up from $23.2 million in July.

A few additional insights about the top-spending Rx brands in August:

  • In total, the top ten brands spent an estimated $146.8 million on national TV advertising, an increase from July's $126.3 million.
  • Arexvy, the first FDA-approved RSV vaccine to hit the market, comes in at No. 9 with an estimated outlay of $9.8 million.
  • Additional month-over-month ranking newcomers include Ozempic (No. 8) and Sotyktu (No. 5). Sotyktu nearly trippled its estimated national TV ad spend from July to August.
