TV was full of holiday ads from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, as brands looked to capitalize on the early days of the shopping season. Data from iSpot looked at the top brands by share of holiday-related ad est. national TV spend from Nov. 23-27. Of note:

  • Wireless advertisers spent big, accounting for 18.51% of holiday-related national TV ad spend during the five-day stretch – most of any brand industry.
  • Amazon had a Black Friday game (Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets) all to itself, but on top of that, still spent the most of any brand on holiday-related ads.
  • Speaking of football, the NFL accounted for almost 52% of all holiday-related ad spend on TV as brands banked on increased reach throughout the Thanksgiving weekend (especially during the Thanksgiving Day games).
