Rx Brands Increasing TV Ad Spend, Impressions In 2024
The pharmaceutical industry has made gains on national linear TV this year, as a new report from iSpot showcases. From January through August, iSpot data shows that est. national linear TV ad spend rose by 8.1% year-over-year for prescription drug brands.
- Along with spend increasing, TV ad reach also grew for those advertisers – up 4.2% to over 54 billion during the eight-month stretch.
- Dupixent eczema ads led the way among all Rx brands, with 3.45% of household TV ad impressions, followed by SKYRIZI Crohn's Disease ads (3.13%) and BREZTRI Aerosphere (2.72%).
- ABC World News Tonight With David Muir delivered the highest share of Rx TV ad impressions, at 3.13% on the year so far; which was an 8.5% increase YoY.
