For all the talk of award show viewership being in the gutter, ABC still snagged a win with the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, despite stiff competition from NCAA’s Selection Sunday programming, NASCAR and the PGA Players’ Championship tournament. According to data from Inscape, the Oscars telecast captured 5.67% of all live, linear minutes watched on Mar. 12, making it the most-watched program for the entire day.

  • All combined, Oscars-related programming accounted for 7.52% of watch-time (nearly double the day’s second most-watched program, the Players’ Championship).
  • Men’s college basketball games and the live NCAA Tournament Selection Show combined for 4.30% of minutes watched on Sunday.
  • Thanks in large part to Oscars coverage, ABC was the most-watched network on Sunday, with 10.18% of minutes watched.
  • Across both Saturday and Sunday, ABC was also No. 1, with 7.81% of minutes watched.
