The Most-Watched YouTube Video This Week Was From Cheez-It
YouTube's most-viewed video of the last week isn't a viral moment, creator short or a sports highlight. It's... an ad from Cheez-It, as data from Tubular Labs reveals.
- "What Have You Done?" – an ad for Cheez-It Snap'd – tallied 257 million views in three days.
- The 15-second spot's views came almost entirely from ad placements on YouTube. While ads are common on the site, any video scoring over 250 million views in a matter of days is virtually unheard of.
- Staggering numbers like that show just how powerful YouTube can be as a platform for brand and product awareness, however. Cheez-It likely got cheaper CPMs for the ad on YouTube than it would've on TV, and was able to blast the message out to a wide audience quickly in a way that also allows the brand to measure sales results immediately.
