Each week, we highlight the most-watched shows and networks using insights from Inscape, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching). Here's a look at the top 25 networks by viewership share for September 4-10 — head over to TVREV to see the program ranking and get insights about the top shows by watch-time.

Thanks largely to NFL games, NBC moves from third to first place week-over-week, capturing a 9.24% viewership share. Other programs fueling watch-time on the network include Today, America’s Got Talent and NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt. CBS, meanwhile, remains in second place but increased its share from 6.62% to 7.35%, driven in part by NFL and college football.

Additional insights around the most-watched networks from September 4-10:

  • Football (both college and NFL) helped drive an increase in Fox’s 7.10% share, with the network rising from fourth to third place week-over-week.
  • Of the top 25 networks, Oxygen had the largest week-over-week ranking increase, moving from No. 28 to No. 25 with 0.86% of minutes watched.
  • Additional week-over-week ranking newcomers include TNT (No. 23) and Discovery (No. 25).
