Data: CBS Remains Most-Watched TV Network

Each week, we highlight the most-watched shows and networks using insights from Inscape, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching). Here's a look at the top 25 networks by viewership share for February 12-18 — head over to TVREV to see the program ranking and get insights about the top shows by watch-time.

CBS continues to reign supreme on the TV network ranking, with its 8.09% viewership share almost 2 percentage points above the No. 2 network, ABC. Programming on CBS that fueled watch-time last week included PGA Tour golf, CBS Mornings and The Price Is Right.

A few more insights about the top networks by viewership share: 

  • Cable news networks MSNBC and CNN both saw week-over-week ranking increases, with the former moving into No. 7 from No. 9 previous and the latter from No. 13 to No. 10. 
  • Thanks to rerun marathons of Yellowstone, Paramount Network vaults into the ranking at No. 18 with a 1.16% viewership share. 
  • Food Network was another week-over-week ranking newcomer, landing at No. 22 with watch-time driven in part by Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay.
