42% of U.S. Consumers Have Used AI to Find Better Deals
A Wunderkind study found that younger consumers are more likely to harness AI for shopping.

AI is starting to shape shopping habits much like it has other areas of daily life. While some consumers are already using the technology to uncover deals, many others have yet to try it, according to a recent study conducted by performance marketing firm Wunderkind.
- While 44% say they’ve never used AI to find better deals, 42% have, either occasionally or regularly.
- 13% of shoppers are interested in deal seeking via AI, but haven’t engaged with it yet.
- As you may expect, younger consumers are more likely to harness AI for shopping, although millennials are slightly more likely than Gen Z, 30% vs. 25%.
- On the flip side, Boomers are heavily eschewing AI tools (67%).
Wunderkind notes that marketers who highlight simplicity, security and clear value will be best positioned to drive broader adoption across diverse demographics. For more consumer insights, download Wunderkind’s report here.
