Cough and cold medicine Vicks was the most seen over-the-counter or prescription pharmaceutical brand on TV in February, according to iSpot.tv data recently shared with MM+M. It had a 4.30% impressions share of voice (SOV) with an estimated national TV ad spend of $8.5 million during the month.

Some additional insights around the most seen OTC/Rx brands for February:

  • Dupixent was a close second place, with ads for its prescription eczema and asthma drugs receiving a 4.25% impression SOV — but it had a notably higher spend than Vicks, $21.4 million.
  • Prescription brands Skyrizi (3.74% SOV), Rinvoq (3.12%) and OTC brand Mucinex (2.76%) round out the top five by impressions SOV.
  • Broadcast networks delivered top impressions shares for all of the top ten brands, led by ABC which was the No. 1 network by SOV for seven of the ten.
