But success hinges on a balancing act between reach and value. 

Paved, a newsletter advertising platform that was acquired this week by Redbrick, reveals some of the top performing newsletters for advertisers

  • Nice News does exactly what its name implies: Highlight positive stories across myriad topics. With over 1 million subscribers, Paved ranks it as the No. 20 top English-language newsletter across all topics, and it takes first place among Paved’s top positive newsletters. The Nice News audience holds considerable purchasing power — 59% have a household income over $100K — and it boasts an above-average unique open rate of 60.5%. 
  • Hometalk, offering home inspiration and DIY tips, ranks No. 10 for audience (~2.4 million subscribers), 80% of which are female and primarily based in the U.S. It’s one of Paved top performers with an average CPC of $1.20. 
  • Lifestyle newsletter Upstyle has a slightly smaller audience (900K daily readers, primarily women ages 35-64), but is a top performer in the fashion, beauty and living category, with an average CPC of $1.46. 
  • Newsbreak specializes in delivering local news to its over 2 million subscribers, with an average CPC of $0.98.
