Social Platforms Growing As Pageviews Source
While pageviews sourced from search may be taking a hit quarter-over-quarter – according to Chartbeat's Q2 global audience insights – the same isn't true for social platforms. On the contrary, Chartbeat reports that social is actually climbing as a share of total pageviews in many regions around the world.
- Africa leads the way with 23% of pageviews coming from social – up from 20% in Q1 2025, but Latin America actually saw the largest increase, at four percentage points, from 9% to 13% quarter-over-quarter.
- In Southeast Asia, social actually declined slightly as a source of pageviews, while it was static in the Middle East.
- At 17%, North America has one of the higher shares of pageviews attributable to social and the QoQ increase could signal a larger shift (back) toward social as a viable source of traffic after many publishers saw declines there in recent years.
