Each month, market research firm MarketCast analyzes CTV and linear TV ads to reveal which ones are resonating the most with audiences. The rankings are based on ad breakthrough — how well viewers remembered the ad and correctly linked it to the brand. Here’s a look at the top CTV ads for June.
CTV ads related to food and beverage ranked high in May, led by restaurant brands Olive Garden and KFC, while Gatorade tapped WNBA wünderkind Caitlin Clark to engage audiences.
- Olive Garden’s “We Spiced Up Create Your Own Pasta” spot takes first place, scoring 30% above the norm for ad breakthrough, thanks to mouth-watering visuals and clear messaging.
- KFC’s promotional tie-in with the new F1 movie resulted in an ad breakthrough 27% above the norm, putting it in second place. Other QSR brands also made the top ten: McDonald’s ranked seventh with a +17% ad breakthrough for “Baby,” while Chick-fil-A’s “Janson” was at No. 9 (+16%).
- Gatorade’s No. 3 spot featuring Caitlin Clark achieved an ad breakthrough 25% above the norm.
- Dream Games successfully harnessed star power to land two spots in the ranking, one featuring Friends actors Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow (No. 6, +19% ad breakthrough), and the other with Kevin Hart (No. 10, +15%).
