Skyrizi, AbbVie's immunology drug, was the No. 1 pharmaceutical brand by estimated TV ad spend for June, according to iSpot.tv data recently shared with FiercePharma. It had an outlay of $26.6 million across five TV ads in June, a decrease from its May spend of $28.4 million.

Some additional insights around the top-spending Rx brands in June:

  • In total, the top ten brands spent an estimated 163.2 million on national TV ads in June, a $40 million decrease from May's outlay by the top ten brands.
  • Rinvoq, which was the No. 1 brand by May spend, drops to No. 2 with $25.3 million.
  • Novo Nordisk was the only month-over-month newcomer to the top ten. It spent an estimated $11.6 million, with the bulk ($7.1 million) going toward a spot featuring actor Anthony Anderson that promotes awareness about type 2 diabetes.
