Among recently-debuted luxury auto TV ads, Acura owns one of the most liked, according to iSpot’s Creative Assessment data. The spot touts its Olympic partnership with Team USA, mixing action shots of the ADX and MDX with an Acura-branded bobsled. 

In addition to having a likeability score 7.5% higher than the recent automotive norm, the spot: 

  • Scored in the 92nd percentile for desire
  • Performed in the 90th percentile for attention
  • Scored in the 90th percentile for watchability 
  • Had a notable brand match of 90%, (the percentage of survey respondents who remembered it was an Acura ad after watching it), above the recent automaker industry norm of 79%.

When asked about the ad’s “single best thing,” 24% of viewers cited the visual scenes. One female viewer 36-49 years old commented, “Loved the ad. It was high energy, filmed in a cool & edgy fashion & the music choice was superb….Any company that supports our Olympians gets respect.”
