Which Snack Brands Are Feeding On Streaming TV This Summer?

Summer is a big time for snack foods, but how are brands getting in front of audiences during the warm-weather months? Data from iSpot takes a look at the top snack food advertisers by share of streaming TV ad impressions share of voice, and how that compares to their respective approaches to national linear TV advertising.

  • Lay's has been the No. 1 snack brand on streaming this summer (since June 20), as it leans into continued used of its Super Bowl ad – The Little Farmer – as the most-seen streaming snack ad.
  • While Nature Valley is one of the five biggest snack advertisers on streaming by share of ad impressions, the brand's linear SOV (10.80%) puts it just shy of the top spot there. Nature Valley emphasizes Daytime ad impressions on linear, accounting for nearly a quarter (23.64%) of its linear reach.
  • SkinnyPop ate up a larger share of streaming ad impressions (7.35%) vs. linear (5.31%) in summer, as a good portion of its linear reach came from syndicated sitcoms (25.89%) and reality TV (17.00%).
