The New Heights podcast is reaching... new heights after Taylor Swift appeared on the show this Wednesday to reveal her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl. Data from Tubular Labs shows just how much of a lift Swift provided for the show – hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce, with his brother Jason – from its normal audience and engagement.

  • New Heights has 566 million Instagram Reels views since the start of 2025, and 244 million of those came from Aug. 11-13 (since Monday’s initial teaser that Taylor Swift may be joining the podcast this week).
  • Instagram Reels posts from New Heights have also seen 8.6 million engagements since Monday, or 40.8% of its total for the year so far.
  • The album announcement clip (with a blurred album cover) is by far the show’s most-seen IG Reels video this year, at 161 million views – 90 million more than the No. 2 video for the show.
  • It’s also the most-seen IG Reels video of this week, among all U.S. creators – 45 million more than the next video.
  • Over the last six months, Tubular data shows that there’s only 13% overlap between New Heights’ Instagram audience and Swift’s social video viewership, which makes this a significant opportunity to grow viewership for the show (in the long- and short-term).
  • Across platforms, the album announcement and related videos have already generated well over 1 billion video views.
“New Heights was able to not just capitalize on the popularity of Taylor Swift for one episode, but use clever Instagram Reels teasers to create significant excitement among her fanbase, grow their own audience and drive live tune-in, too,” said Jill Nicholson, CMO, at Chartbeat/Tubular Labs. “While very few podcast guests would ever possess the star power Swift has, the way New Heights leveraged the appearance is still an excellent case study for other shows on how to effectively activate a new audience.”
