Over the last year, Smosh Pit’s U.S. YouTube watch-time among 13-to-17 year-olds has ballooned by 60%, and the channel is now No. 1 for that age group on the platform.

  • The trick has been a consistent output (30-40 videos per month) over the last year, and a good mix of longer and shorter-form videos that doesn’t lean too heavily in one direction or the other.
  • Tubular Labs data reveals that in Dec. 2025, six of Smosh Pit’s 35 videos were over an hour long – led by one seven-hour marathon video – and nearly 40% weren’t Shorts.

Smosh Pit’s engaging content drove long watch sessions using formats like Q&A sessions, roundtables, and sharing Reddit stories; as all of these follow similar conventions to podcasts and also don’t necessarily have an obvious “end” to them.

These strategies have given Smosh a clear edge when it comes to teen audiences on YouTube. Along with Smosh Pit, Smosh Games also sits among the top five by watch-time for the age group in December – generating minutes that contend with even the NFL’s for 13-to-17 year-olds.
