Milo And Chip Take On Gaming Giants With Long-Form Videos
Gaming is a busy space on YouTube, with some of the genre’s best creators having extensive histories earning millions of views per day with a variety of long-long-for and short-form videos. Typically, that lends to some difficulty for less established creators breaking in – though that was not the case for Milo and Chip in May.
- Data from Tubular Labs shows that previously small creator Milo and Chip was one of the top U.S. YouTube creators by watch-time across all genres, not just gaming last month.
- Milo and Chip videos earned over 1.2 billion U.S. minutes watched in May 2025, which was an increase of 1,545% month-over-month as the channel rose to No. 6 overall (coming up behind creators like Toys & Colors and Fox News).
- In May, 18 of Milo and Chip’s 23 videos were 30 minutes or longer in length, with the longest video – The Best Way to Find Diamonds in Minecraft – running for over 44 minutes. The Minecraft-focused videos are primarily gameplay, and many videos feature a ton of chapter dividers for easy navigation (and ad opportunity for ad breaks).
