Katseye Using Social Video To Fuel Growth With Female Audience
The next “girl group” to truly hit it big may be Katseye, as data from Tubular Labs lays out the case for. And it’s largely thanks to Katseye’s growing group of predominantly female fans.
- In September 2025, Katseye was the No. 19 U.S. media & entertainment page on YouTube among female viewers.
- The group reached an audience of 8.9 million female viewers during the month, which was up 14% compared to August, and 10x since April.
Katseye’s success comes as the group has been scaling back its overall uploads on YouTube, while still leaning heavily into Shorts. Uploads have nearly been cut in half since May 2025 (from 65 to 38), yet Katseye is getting more views per video as it emphasizes song snippets and K-pop inspired choreography in its Shorts; many of which look less “polished” and more like user-generated vertical videos.
In September, Katseye’s biggest video hit was a 14-second choreography short that earned 21.87 million views on YouTube. It’s already one of their 10 most-watched videos of the year, and part of the group’s growing collection of high-performing Shorts.
Of Katseye’s top 15 videos by views in 2025, 12 are Shorts, and seven were uploaded in the second half of the year.
