Households With Children Expect To Spend 43% More During Holidays
Kids are just now getting back to school, but it's never too late to look ahead toward the holiday season – especially for marketers.
New research from LG Ad Solutions' Season's Streamings report digs into U.S. consumer and CTV viewing behaviors in advance of this holiday season, highlighting how economic conditions are part of an overall expectation for more spending this year.
- Households with children are expecting to spend 43% more year-over-year during the holidays, with an average of $963.
- LG Ad Solutions notes the average expected spend is 47% higher than what's anticipated by households without children (makes sense, since those usually feature fewer people, so conceivably, don't need to spend as much).
- 73% of those households with children are also early shoppers – which is about 6% higher than the percentage for those without.
- Overall, 28% of CTV viewers anticipated spending more during the holidays this year vs. last year.
