Disney+ Audience Soars With Shorts Push

Disney+ has increasingly been focusing on YouTube Shorts to push both awareness of the service and highlight specific content options. Combined with some ad spend, the strategy netted the service 75% more unique U.S. viewers on YouTube in June 2025, according to new data from Tubular Labs. Disney+ uploaded 51 videos in June, which was not a high for the page.
- But 45 of those were under 60 seconds in length, as Disney+ continued a pivot toward Shorts to showcase not only new content, but its wealth of library content as well.
- The month of June also had some major events for the service, including the arrival of Frozen: The Musical, The Bear season four and new Phineas and Ferb episodes, helping increase buzz (and the motivation to spend on additional promotional dollars).
- For the month, Disney+ was No. 2 by unique U.S. viewers on YouTube, at 79 million. That was just short of the top creator for June, movie meme account Eggdar, which led with 81.9 million.
