Cowboys Will Lead NFL In Primetime/Holiday TV Games For 2025

Even coming off of a 7-10 season, the Dallas Cowboys are still America's team... at least according to the NFL and league TV partners.
The NFL's 2025 regular season schedule was announced on Wednesday, and the Cowboys led the league with eight primetime or holiday games, one more than the totals for last year's AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions, which each had seven.
- Dallas is scheduled for two games apiece during Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football this year, and will also play on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- The Cowboys' divisional rivals will all be seen plenty on TV as well: Fresh off a Super Bowl win, the Philadelphia Eagles get six primetime or holiday games, as do the NFC runner-up Washington Commanders, while the New York Giants will play in three.
- Three different teams that missed last year's playoffs will play in five primetime or holiday games: The Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers.
- Additionally, three teams are scheduled for zero primetime/holiday TV slots: The Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans.
Despite the schedule release here, the dust isn't completely settled yet, either. The league and its TV partners still have various late-season games it can flex to Saturdays, and games slated for Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights can all flex out of those slots at various points as well.
