Block Blast Video Cruises To A Billion TikTok Views In A Month
A short-format video gaining viral steam on TikTok is not necessarily news. The platform was built on the idea, after all. Despite that fact, though, sometimes a video gains so much steam that it demands more attention.
So is the case with pomeranian-focused account PomKori, which has scored 1 billion views already on TikTok since April 26 – and for what's technically an ad for mobile game Block Blast.
- Kori had some existing popularity as a TikTok account, but only recently started gaining steam with 26 million views in January alone, and another 117 million in February.
- The Block Blast video, featuring the skateboarding dog, is the most-watched video on TikTok over the last 90 days – 340 million more than the next video – and is also the most-watched TikTok video of the year.
- This video alone surpasses Block Blast's owned TikTok views from the last 365 days, though the app has been relatively active on the platform, with 461 million views in the last 365 days.
- Combined with the PomKori partnership, Block Blast is showing how to leverage social video for massive attention and awareness, in ways that are natural to how its intended audience interacts with content.
