iSpot's 2022 recap revealed tons of interesting nuggets about the last year in TV advertising, including highlights on the programs and networks delivering the most ad impressions, plus which programs provided the most reach for the money.

Cable news program Morning Joe (MSNBC) delivered the most reach per dollar spent of any program, followed by The Five and Special Report with Bret Baier (both Fox News). Syndicated shows like Hawaii Five-0, Frasier and Reba also appeared high on the list, which compared the top 100 shows by impressions.

  • The top 20 programs delivered 30.9% of new-airing TV ad impressions in 2022.
  • Live sports boost to many networks in 2022 — but few more than USA Network, which climbed 10 spots year-over-year (by TV ad impressions), largely due to live Olympic action in February.
