Modelo's rise to the top of the U.S. beer market is partly due to marketing strategy. Below, iSpot data shows how top beer brands that focused on Spanish-language TV ad impressions this year... and some did so far more than others.

  • Five different brands, led by Coarona (33.14%) had at least 25% of 2023 household TV ad impressions delivered in Spanish.
  • This is relevant given Modelo's recent rise to the top of the U.S. beer market (as detailed in the WSJ this week).
  • Notably, just 6.3% of Bud Light's TV ad impressions this year have been in Spanish (No. 10 among brands with at least 1 billion household ad impressions).
