Amazon Prime Video's Thursday Night Football slate has improved over time, and the 2025 schedule for the streaming service may be its best yet – at least in terms of TV audiences. The NFL's regular season schedule release last week revealed that the Dallas Cowboys have the most primetime and/or holiday placements (eight), including two during Thursday Night Football. And that's part of a larger focus on the "coastal" AFC/NFC East and AFC/NFC West divisions for TNF.

  • Of the 15 TNF games (30 teams total) this year, the AFC and NFC East account for a combined 40% of the teams – 12 total – while the AFC and NFC West make up 30% (nine).
  • Part of the boost for the East and West divisions comes as a product of this year's crossovers: The NFC East (the NFL's top division by fan interest/TV ratings) faces the AFC West (home of the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs).
  • While perceptively "less popular" teams used to regularly pepper the Thursday Night schedule, the AFC and NFC South (the NFL divisions with the least national appeal) have just three spots this year.

The teams selected are no guarantee of high tune-in for Amazon Prime Video, but it will certainly help as the streaming service grabs a bigger and more critical portion of the NFL schedule.
