83% Of Console Gamers Feel Streaming Ads Are More Relevant To Them
Advertising to gamers is still in its relative infancy, but as the space grows, there's. much to learn about the gaming audience, and how they uniquely interact with advertising. LG Ad Solutions' Connected Gamer report dives into many of the "need-to-know" data points on gamers in the U.S.
- LG Ads found that 74% of games pay more attention to ads when they're streaming – and for heavy gamers, that figure is 15% higher.
- Related: 83% feel streaming TV ads are more relevant to them compared to traditional TV advertising.
- Interestingly, 28% of gamers discovered new games via ads appearing on TV (including home screen ads) – with 51% learning via either social media or YouTube as the top place for new game info.
