Even with the excitement around the Philadelphia Phillies' surprising run to the World Series, it wasn't enough to fuel an increase in TV ad impressions or est. national TV ad spend for this year's Fall Classic. Data from iSpot shows that national TV ad spend during 2022 World Series on Fox was down 9.1% year-over-year, to $194.4 million. TV ad impressions declined 7.7% as well, to 5.87 billion.

Taking some guesses around the decreases in both spend and impressions vs. last year's World Series: The final three games of the 2022 series were not overly competitive, fans could be experiencing Houston Astros fatigue after the team made its fourth World Series in six years, and the Phillies lack the more national following the Braves (last year's champion) possess.

Samsung Mobile was the most-seen advertiser of this year's World Series, with 3.20% of all TV ad impressions on Fox.
